The 15th Bombannes summer school, originally planned for 2020, had to be postponed due to the Corona pandemic. It finally took place from 20 to 28 June 2022 at VTF « Les Bruyères » in Bombannes, Carcans-Maubuisson.
The Organizing Committee has decided to plan the next summer school for 2024. A new application procedure will be opened in the second half of 2023, with an approximate deadline early 2024.
There is no guarantee for being accepted as it depends on the total number, profile and quality of all future applications. For further details (dates, programme,…) please have a regulary look at the school homepage.
The Bombannes summer school is devoted to the practical «state-of-art» approach to scattering methods, using neutrons, as well as X-ray and light sources - today’s key techniques to study structure and dynamics in systems containing colloids, polymers, surfactants and biological macromolecules. Since 1990 the Bombannes school series introduces, on a fundamental level, the current methodology of static and dynamic scattering techniques and their application to soft matter systems. It provides with a period of 2 years advanced training for young researchers with a working place in European laboratories at post-graduate and post-doctoral level.
