Quantitative Analysis
=====================

Here the structure is not a problem, everything except the amount of different phases is known.

Purpose:
Learning how to perform a proper quantitative analysis using FullProf.
Quantitative analysis using the Rietveld method.
Quantitative analysis using pre-calculated structure factors in absolute
units.

The file rutana.dat corresponds to laboratory x-ray data of a mixture of rutile and
anatase (two polymorphs of TiO2). The exercise consists of the setting up of a PCR
file appropriate for performing a quantitative analysis. The structure of the two
components are described in the CIF files rutile.cif and anatase.cif
The instrumental resolution function file is named: rx_cukalpha.irf
The question to be answered is: what is the relative amount of rutile and anatase in the sample?

The file AF143.DAT corresponds to a synchrotron x-ray diffraction pattern,
taken at LURE, of a makeup powder of the Ancient Egypt. The instrumental resolution file is
called LURE.irf. The major components are five minerals, the structure of which are provided
in the CIF files: cerusite.cif, galena.cif, gypsum.cif, laurionite.cif and phosgenite.cif

The corresponding exercises are described in the document:
