This study visit to the neutron and synchrotron radiation sources located on the EPN Campus in Grenoble (France) is intended for students from the University of Zaragoza.
During the visit, participants will have the opportunity to discover two of Europe’s leading large-scale scientific facilities:
ILL – Institut Laue-Langevin (Contact: Gabriel Cuello)
ESRF – European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (Contact: Jaime Dolado)
Registration will remain open until 30 November at midnight.
Please note that late registrations cannot be accepted. Students who do not register before the deadline will be unable to participate in the visit.
Registration is carried out by completing the required information in the Registration section of the menu.
In addition to registering, please remember to provide the organiser (Diego Gironés Magana) with a digital copy of your national ID card (DNI). Obviously, passports or residence permits are valid too.
Access to the EPN Campus is strictly regulated and subject to high-level safety requirements. Entry for all visitors must be authorised by the relevant state authorities.
As these authorisation procedures may take several weeks, it is essential to close registration well in advance to ensure that all participants can be cleared in time.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Upon arrival at the campus, each participant must obtain an access badge, which will be valid for both institutes. To do so, you must present yourself individually with your identity card, passport or residence permit (with photograph).
For the visit to the ILL, you will need to go to the reception building, where you must collect a dosimeter and a personal access code for the controlled-access zone.
All these procedures are time-consuming, and it is therefore important to begin them as early as possible.
Both the EPN Campus reception and the ILL reception open at 7:00 a.m., so it is strongly recommended to arrive at the time of opening.
