Description
With the European Spallation Source approaching the milestone of beam on target, our team continues to work diligently on the development and construction of chopper systems. Over the past two years alone, we have successfully built and tested nine systems and are currently in the process of assembling five more.
Each system demands significant time and effort, presenting a range of unique and evolving challenges. In my presentation, I will outline the key steps involved in assembling these systems, highlight some of the difficulties we encounter, and discuss how we apply lessons learned from previous builds to enhance and streamline the assembly process for future choppers.
