Arriving by plane
Lyon Saint Exupery International Airport (LYS), is the most convenient airport to reach Grenoble. It is a one-hour drive from Grenoble and regular shuttle buses operate to and from Grenoble main station station (‘Gare Routière’).
Arriving by train
Many high-speed trains (TGV) operate between Paris and Grenoble each day and take 3 hours. There are also good train connections with Marseille (2h30) Switzerland (Geneva 2h), Italy (Milano 5h, Turin 3h50). Tickets can be booked on the SNCF web site.
For those arriving on the Sunday 8th of March, there are many reasonably-priced hotels available in Grenoble.
